We asked different readers which is the best bed bug exterminator in Vancouver and reviewed each one. So, here are our findings!

They may not be a 24-hour service but this company still is one of our go-to companies for bed bug removal in Vancouver.

With at least a next-day guarantee, Pesticon assures that they’ll be able to exterminate any pesky bed bugs as soon as possible. Although this isn’t the same-day guarantee we would prefer, it still is better than waiting for ages.

You also won’t need to worry about their quality of service too as they offer a 6-month guarantee. After all, if you have a lot of furniture, those bedbugs would be able to hide in some nooks & crannies in your home, so it’s better to have some sort of assurance that they’ll be dealt with if they reappear.

Pesticon also uses heat treatment and repellants to remove bed bugs. We’re fans of the heat treatment option, as it’s one of the more eco-friendly and safer ways to remove bed bugs.

We should also mention that we found it easy to talk to them. Their guarantee that customers will get a call-back within 30 minutes was put to the test too and found to be true.

That’s always a good sign, as far as we’re concerned. If companies deliver on even small promises like these, there’s a better chance of them delivering on larger ones (like that 6-month guarantee).

Overall, despite the lack of a 24-hour and same-day service, we think Pesticon is a great choice for bed bug removal services in Vancouver.

Local Pest Control offers 24-hour services and operates in the Metro Vancouver, Lower Mainland, and Victoria areas. They have been in the business since 2010 and focus on customer service and efficiency.

Or at least, that’s what we’ve seen from our survey of their customers. It was borne out by our call to them, where we found them easy to talk to.

We particularly appreciated that they didn’t seem to rush us during the call (even though we admit to dithering a bit at some moments). However, if you call them, just be aware that they only entertain calls from Monday to Friday… but they can book you in advance.

One important thing to point out here is that they don’t have a same-day service option, which is a bit disappointing. As much as possible, we want bed bugs to be removed quickly.

They can use both the traditional (chemical) treatment for bed bugs and the heat treatment too. We don’t mind the traditional treatment from this company, as they are very thorough.

In case you’re wondering, their traditional treatment includes furniture and bedding removal along with house clean-outs. This makes the experience of customers easier as they won’t need to bother with that themselves. 

And if you’re not sure yet if you have bed bugs, they have a service for that too. They offer bed bug detection services using dogs that can track the scent of bed bugs and their eggs (Vana, their detection dog, is adorable, by the way).

They also rent out bed bug detectors for 5 days cheaply if you prefer to do the inspection yourself. This can help you make sure that you can detect a bed bug infestation in the house.

With all those different services and a bed bug inspection service, it’s clear that Local Pest Control is a solid choice for removing bed bugs in Vancouver. That lack of same-day service is still a shame, but it’s a minor issue, all things considered.

The staff at Alpine Pest Control Ltd have 8 years of experience removing pests. Their staff also get training before they can even visit homes.

To add to that, they make sure each of their technicians is licensed. This company clearly takes great pride in their staff and honestly, the experience and training really show once they start their work.

Respondents and reviewers alike talk about their high-quality service and the knowledge of the staff here. That means all of their training and restrictions on who can provide their services does pay off.

For their bed bug extermination service, they use heat treatment. While they don’t offer other treatments for bed bugs, it’s not a big deal for us, as it is our preferred option.

What’s more, the heat treatment here isn’t just a one-and-done thing where they leave immediately after the treatment.

What they do instead is heat the place, then check every single piece of furniture to see where the bed bugs are. Pretty thorough, right?

Just be aware that they have no warranty if pests aren’t eradicated completely. But from what we’ve heard, they’re so meticulous in removing bed bugs that you may not have to worry about that… though of course, some may not feel the same.

With them, they’ll first check the unit to see if there’s a bed bug infestation. If there is one, they use their eco-friendly, non-toxic solution to exterminate the bed bugs.

While they don’t offer a service warranty like other pest control services do, they still have some maintenance services. These will make sure that pests won’t make your home their home.

Other than their pest control services, they also offer pest-proofing. This is a welcome offering as prevention is better than cure, especially with pests like bed bugs.

Overall, we like what we hear about their efficacy and our own experience with their call line. However, we still do think they could add a service warranty to their offerings: it’s a pretty useful promise when dealing with pests like these.

While they have short hours compared to the majority of pest control services, many people will still attest to the quality of service that this company gives.

They guarantee a 100% eradication of pests within 3 months. And of course, they have trained technicians to make sure that bed bugs in your home are dead and won’t bother you anymore.

What’s also amazing about their service is that they can also identify bugs if you email them. You basically don’t need to go through the process of having someone visit your house just to find out that there’s no infestation of any sort.

The treatment they use is also pretty environmentally-friendly as they follow the Ministry of Environment’s guidelines. No need to feel guilty about removing those pesky pests if you’re worried about the environment!

That being said, we did notice that they don’t exactly offer a same-day service. Just a bit disappointing since bed bugs tend to propagate really fast.

Don’t expect a one-day treatment from them either. Their treatment requires you to wait for about 2 weeks just to get that second treatment.

However, we don’t mind the waiting too much as their treatment has been proven effective by many already. That service warranty isn’t too bad either!
