What we liked best about Endodontic Specialty Group of Greater Vancouver is that all of their doctors are highly skilled in dental treatments and root canal therapy.

They offer root canal therapies and various endodontic procedures such as retreatment, apicoectomy, cracked teeth, and traumatic injuries.

We were impressed by their use of cutting-edge dental technology as we think this makes their procedures more efficient and quick. Some of the equipment they have include surgical microscopes, digital imaging and x-rays, and many more.

Furthermore, we were fascinated by this establishment’s use of a laser disinfection machine to eliminate bacteria from root canal systems.

Now, we’d like to point out that the damage to your tooth determines the cost of their services. They are also closed on weekends, so patients may have to call ahead for an appointment.

Nevertheless, we liked that they do their best to accommodate emergency treatments and dental work. However, this service comes with an additional fee. 

Overall, we believe the Endodontic Specialty Group of Greater Vancouver has one of the best endodontists in Vancouver. We highly recommend Dr. James Lin due to his strong dental background and skillset.

Top-notch expertise

“Dr Lin is the expert you want to see from the first time.

I have complicated canal system for my tooth needed root canal. I went to see a general dentist first, but they could not make the freezing work even after five shots! And he forcefully tried to drill the canal with the nerve being not frozen at all. It was very painful and I got traumatized. So I phoned this specialty dentist, and surprisingly they accepted me without referral (which was a big plus because I did not even want to talk to the first dentist). Then cam Dr Lin. His procedures were butter smooth and after the second shot, freezing worked perfectly. He did not try anything forceful. They also use the microscope which I heard is a must for successful root canal. The doctor also uses hand written illustrations to explain in detail, which I was impressed. This is a must go place for anyone needing root canal or any complicated cases (like accidents). Unlike other specialty dentists, they take patients without referral. A lot of dentists fail to do a proper root canal and people (myself included) ended up going see an endo for re-treatment. Accommodating and dedicated

“I had rather an emergency with my tooth.  I live in the Gulf Islands and came over to see my dentist on a Friday.  My dentist said that my tooth was complicated and referred me to Dr Lin.  Dr. Lin saw me at 6:30 on a Friday night, examined me and then proceeded to start a root canal then and there!  The work was done using a microscope- very precise.  He and his dental assistant gave up their Friday night to work on my tooth until 10:15 pm!  He was very kind, very good and very knowledgeable.  He will be finishing my tooth on Monday night after 7 pm, another night dedicated to helping me!  The great part is my tooth is SO much better already!  Highly recommend.” -Zoe S.

Dr. Lai’s extensive education and experience place her among the best endodontists in Vancouver, as she has gained extensive experience and training in dental sciences, medicine, and endodontics.

This facility provides emergency endodontic treatments such as root canal therapy, traumatic dental injuries, endodontic retreatments, and many others.

We noticed right away that Emergence Endodontics prioritizes a stress-free patient experience. We were impressed by their modern and well-lit dental clinic, which features a variety of high-tech equipment and accessories.

We believe that the accessories they provide patients with, such as noise-canceling headphones, nitrous oxide, movie glasses, and weighted pillows, contribute to a more relaxing experience.

Now, given that they have relatively higher rates than others on our list, we were a little disappointed to learn that they don’t provide financing options.

Nonetheless, we found it convenient that all of their employees speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. This, in our opinion, makes them more adaptable to different nationalities.

All in all, we recommend Dr. Wendy Lai of Emergence Endodontics because she creates a more pleasant clinic environment for patients of all ages.

Now, Evergreen Endo Group provides state-of-the-art technology at their clinic. What distinguishes them is that they have dedicated digital dental software for keeping dental records and progress more conveniently.

We believe that going paperless improves the security and environmental friendliness of their services.

Unfortunately, this company does not accept payment from insurance companies. If you have dental insurance, Evergreen Endo Group will submit your claims electronically, and your insurer will refund you directly.
