The 7 Best Fertility Clinics in Vancouver

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Fertility issues are often a sensitive subject for many couples. There’s a need for a clinic that not only provides the highest success rate but also treats you well.

We asked different couples and even accompanied some of them to fertility clinics to get an overall view of each clinic, including their cons. Based on our research, we identified what we think to be the best fertility clinics in Vancouver.

How much does going to a fertility clinic in Vancouver cost?

Getting fertility assessments in Vancouver is free thanks to the medical services plan in place. However, the treatment plans themselves are a bit costly and you’ll need to cover them yourself as they’re not part of the services included in the MSP.

The Best Fertility Clinics in Vancouver

To help you choose the best clinic, we provided the pros and cons and some reviews from previous patients. We also answered some common questions about fertility clinics and treatments at the end of the article, so check those out as well.

1. Grace Fertility Centre

Grace Fertility Centre

Reproductive Endocrinology
Prenatal Screening
ADDRESS604 W Broadway #210, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1G1, Canada
CONTACT NUMBER604-558-4886
WEBSITEhttps://fertilitywithgrace.com/
OPERATING HOURSMonday-Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Despite their short hours, Grace Fertility Centre is a very popular option. This clinic was recommended by many people who also attested that their treatment plan helped them conceive.

Each of the 3 doctors of this clinic has more than 2 decades of experience. Dr. Anthony Cheung and Dr. Francis Lee’s practice is focused on gynecology and reproductive endocrinology, and for male infertility needs, Dr. Victor Chow can help with that.

They also offer a complete assessment test to make sure that every single factor is accounted for. Once the assessment is done, the doctors here will provide the proper treatment plan, and yes, that includes the encouragement of natural conception as much as possible.

Although, of course, if the natural conception plan doesn’t work, this clinic also offers IVF and different ways of conception.

Just be aware though: their male fertility assessments can’t be shouldered by your medical services plan and you might need to have a different insurance plan just to get it with a lower fee.

However, with their higher-than-the-national-average fertility rate, it’s not hard to overlook some of their few downsides, in our opinion.

Pros

  • Can do assessments
  • Doctors have than 20 years of experience
  • Offers clinical conception

Cons

  • Not open during the weekend
  • Doesn’t have flexible payment plans

Customer Reviews

Here are some reviews of previous patients:

“I would highly recommend Grace Fertility. Dr. Francis Lee is warm, personable, knowledgable and kind. Unfortunately I moved during my fertility cycle and switched clinics. The clinic I am with now runs like a business where you are just a number in line. You never get to talk to the doctor, you just go through the nurses. Grace Fertility you have a sit down conversation with the Dr. after each ultrasound to discuss every detail. I was always kept informed and felt I could trust my doctor. I felt I was in good hands. Nothing but a great experience with this clinic.” – M

“I’ve been blown away by the responsiveness, empathy and compassion shown by Dr. Cheung, Dr. Lee, and the staff at Grace Fertility Centre. IVF patients like myself have no shortage of choices, as there are many fertility clinics across Canada. I have experienced many challenges as a single man trying to fulfill my family dream, and I also guide others in this similar quest.

Grace Fertility Centre is a very small clinic, but has a huge heart. I would like to especially acknowledge and applaud the key administrative personnel, namely Cara and Karen for always going above and beyond to make people like myself and my clients feel welcome and supported throughout this often difficult journey to parenthood.

Thank you.” – Nathan Chan

2. Genesis Fertility Centre

OPERATING HOURSMonday-Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Genesis Fertility Center has one of the highest fertility success rates in North America. Their focus on clinical conception has helped many families inside and outside Vancouver too.

While they don’t really do assessment tests that often, if you’re focused on conception then this clinic is just right for you. Offering many clinical conception services, they have one of the most complete fertility treatment plans.

However, it’s a bit disappointing that they don’t really have their own financing plan since these treatments aren’t going to be paid by the BC medical services plan. Aside from that, there really aren’t that many downsides for this clinic.

We like that their schedule is fairly flexible. They’re open during the weekends and anyone can also book in advance for their appointment.

It’s also nice to see that their clinic has gestational surrogacy support. Surrogacy service includes screening the carrier and the acknowledgment of risks of surrogacy.

With many services and their high success rate, we think it’s no surprise that Genesis Fertility Center is cited by many as one of the best fertility clinics in Vancouver.

Pros

  • One of the highest fertility rate in North America
  • Open during the weekends
  • Can book in advance
  • Gestational Surrogacy support

Cons

  • No in-house assessment test
  • No financing plan

Customer Reviews

These reviews show the experience and results of going to Genesis Fertility Centre:

“I can’t say enough positive things about everyone at Genesis fertility clinic from the front desk, nursing team, embryologists and of course Dr. Kashyup herself. She is beyond brilliant and is so well researched and educated that I fully trusted her and I  confident she would help us grow our family and the baby I dreamed of would one day happen. She helped me stay positive and to stay the course when it was really hard to do so. I did 3 IVF cycles and I appreciated that she tweaked my protocol each time which resulted each cycle  in a better outcome than the last.  I’m now finally pregnant with a PGT normal tested embryo and I’m feeling hopeful that this will be a successful pregnancy. Another thing I really like about Genesis is the personalized  care you get from Dr Kashyup since at Genesis you won’t end up seeing other doctors like you do at the  other Vancouver Clinics. Many of my friends at other clinics really dislike how they don’t have one doctor following their care and instead they see a different doctor for each procedure. At Genesis, Dr. Kashyup always knows my case well and is prepared for my visits.   I truly believe Dr Kashyup cares about me and all of her patient’s outcomes and tries her hardest to make all of us parents!” – Anna Sutherland

“We started our IVF experience in February 2019 and in June I gave birth to our precious baby boy. While IVF is an emotional experience and for women over 40 like myself chances are reduced to have a successful IVF, we were successful with one embryo & implant. We thank Dr. Kashyup for her professionalism and support.” – Anda Tudor

Unlike other centres listed here, this place offers a more natural treatment plan. Using Chinese medicines and a holistic treatment plan, Yinstill Reproductive Wellness is preferred by many couples who prefer to go a more natural route.

By the way, although they focus on natural fertility treatment, they still acknowledge modern science and combine it with the natural method.

Their “Path to Perfect” system is their premier signature service and has gotten them the praise of many previous clients. This service helps those who are trying to conceive with either the natural or the clinical method.

Even though they don’t administer their own IVF treatment plan, the addition of their services to it has seemed to helped couples. This treatment was shown to increase pregnancy rate by 30% and lessens the chances of miscarriages by at least 35%.

Included in that treatment path are acupuncture, micronutrient injections, personal coaching, diet coaching, herbal medicine and supplements, and diagnostic assessment. Yinstill’s signature treatment plan ensures the health of the body while the couple is trying to conceive.

If you prefer to just try them out but are still not sold on their complete service, they also have an “a la carte” style services where people will just get one or three of the services they offer.

Just make sure to always go to your scheduled appointment time. Their on-the-day cancellation fee is equivalent to the full price of their service.

Pros

  • Combines natural and modern science
  • Services have helped increase pregnancy rate
  • Holistic treatment plan
  • Offers one-off services

Cons

  • Has a fee for late cancellations
  • Doesn’t offer their own IVF treatment plan

Customer Reviews

Here are some reviews talking about how this clinic helped them:

“I’ve loved my experience so far at Yinstill! Everyone has been so kind and helpful and I know that my weekly acupuncture sessions made such a difference in my pregnancy! I am now 17 weeks and so happy to have such an amazing support system from Yinstill. I’ve worked closely with Moninder but also had sessions with a few of the other girls and everyone was so kind and helpful, and so compassionate! Especially big shoutout to Spence who I initially had my first online consult with. I probably wouldn’t have pursued my treatments if it hadn’t been for him. He totally trusted the way I wanted to do things and valued all the work and research I had already put in on my fertility journey. He simply facilitated the last piece of the puzzle for me with adding in acupuncture as another way to support my body to do what it was designed to do. Thank you so much Spence, our chat will never be forgotten. And thank you to the amazing Yinstill team!” – Hillary Tabah

“Elyse is an amazing acupuncturist. She really listens to your needs. Would recommend, especially for pregnancy. Always felt heard and comfortable. :)” – Taryn Cowling

The Olive Fertility Centre’s reputation for a higher-than-the-national-average fertility rate instills trust among individuals seeking fertility services. A notable aspect of their offerings is the convenience they provide to clients. Although the clinic doesn’t conduct complete testing on-site, they streamline the process by facilitating requests for tests through their online portal. This eliminates the need for an initial consultation before obtaining test requests.

Understanding that each fertility journey is unique, the review emphasizes the absence of a standard cost for fertility treatment. To determine individual needs and potential costs, scheduling a consultation and undergoing assessment are deemed essential steps.

In British Columbia (BC), consultations with fertility specialists and most infertility tests are covered by the provincial health plan (MSP) with a referral. However, many fertility treatments are not publicly funded (non-insured), making it crucial for clients to explore third-party insurance coverage for medications used during their treatment.

The services covered by MSP include testing and treatment for various factors affecting fertility, such as ovulation issues, male factor challenges, unexplained infertility, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine factors, and immunological aspects. Diagnostic procedures, endocrine disorder management, and fertility-related surgeries are also part of the covered services.

For non-insured services, the Olive Fertility Centre provides a price guide effective from January 1, 2024, in Canadian dollars. This includes a range of testing services, treatments such as ovulation monitoring, intrauterine insemination (IUI) with sperm wash, and in vitro fertilization (IVF) with associated costs.

The clinic also offers innovative enhancements like preimplantation genetic testing, ERA (Endometrial Receptivity Analysis), and non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT). Donor and surrogacy solutions, as well as services for egg, sperm, and embryo freezing, are also available with separate pricing.

Pros

  • Higher than the national average fertility rate
  • Convenient online portal
  • Can refer patients to specialized counselors

Cons

  • Can be busy so scheduling beforehand is encouraged

Customer Reviews

These customers talk about the results of their fertility treatment plan here:

“Where to even begin. We started our journey with Olives Fertility back in January of 2020. When you know, you know! We live in Calgary, Alberta and have done plenty of research. We looked at international surrogacy, adoption and embryo adoption. The moment we met with Olive we knew they were the people for us. They made us feel welcomed and excited about the journey that lies ahead. A special shout out to Doctor Beth Taylor and Carly Wickett (coordinator) for being out lifeline through this whole process and also manoeuvring the restrictions during the pandemic.

Fast forward to March of 2021 and we now have a beautiful baby girl whose blessed our household. Words will never  be enough to thank you all for playing a big part it building our family.

I highly suggest if you’re looking for a fertility clinic that you look into Olive! It’s a game changer!!” – Tristan Hyde

“Going through IVF and in the middle of COVID is not an easy process for anyone! But the support I received from the Olive staff made this process a little easier for us. I feel behind lucky to have had them in my corner! Thank you” – aimee macarthur

5. PCRM Fertility Clinics

CONTACT NUMBER604-422-7276

OPERATING HOURSMonday-Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

PCRM Fertility Clinics has two branches around BC and a lot more around Canada, making it perfect for those who often need to go out of Vancouver.

While self-referrals are available for Vancouver residents, they also have a $100 fee for that. This is a bit disappointing as some clinics accept new patients for consultations without that kind of charge.

PCRM is the only fertility clinic in B.C. that is allowed to do minor surgeries without pre-operation medicine requirements. With a level 1 anesthesia certification, they can provide minor reproductive surgeries such as vasectomy reversal and operative hysteroscopy.

Although they don’t provide those assessment tests, they make up for that by having their own in-house online group counseling sessions along with a different counseling session after an IVF treatment.

They also provide acupuncture services and massages for those who prefer complementing their treatment plan with alternative medicines.

On the whole, this seems like a great option for a lot of couples. We find it easy to overlook the downsides to the clinic, as PCRM provides convenience and great support to its patients.

Pros

  • Many branches around Canada
  • Can do minor reproductive surgeries
  • In-house group counseling sessions
  • Alternative medicine available

Cons

  • Self-referrals have a fee
  • Doesn’t provide assessment tests

PCRM made my dream come true! I have been trying to conceive for 10 years and it finally happened. A big thanks they gave me the gift to conceive. I want the world to know how blessed and thankful I am. I wouldn’t be a “mother” I am today without the Drs and nurses at PCRM. Now my little “darling” just turned 3 months the other day.” Che Shatzko
