We believe Lee Valley is a one-stop shop for hardware items because they stock a diverse range of home, kitchen, and outdoor tools and equipment.

However, we were disappointed by their limited inventory of furniture levelers. Nonetheless, we appreciate their extensive selection of power tools and accessories.

Customers are encouraged to take advantage of Lee Valley’s numerous drop-ins, demonstrations, and workshops. It is important to note, however, that their workshops require registration and may incur fees.

What we liked best about Lee Valley is that they prioritize recycling shipping boxes. In fact, they offer a 50 cent per box credit to customers who bring clean, reusable shipping boxes to their locations.

Another thing that we found impressive is that they provide convenient catalogs that have detailed descriptions and photography. In our opinion, this allows clients to learn more about the product before making a purchase.

“I grew up with my parents buying things from Lee Valley mail order but never knew they had physical stores until I was in Vancouver this week. I LOVE this store. Despite it’s sort of sad, uninviting exterior it’s a wonderful treasure trove inside. In 1972, Dunbar Lumber Express aimed to provide suitable quality hardware and materials for residential and commercial properties.

We also liked how they have a power tool rental service, which includes small drills, sanders, hand saws, and other tools. We liked how their tools are serviced regularly to ensure their safety.

Unfortunately, they only have a limited selection of tools, so it’s best to call ahead to ensure their tools are available.

Now, if your power tools aren’t working properly, this establishment provides power tool repairs, using premium brands to provide high-quality repair service.

We were also particularly impressed by their fleet delivery. They have vans, trucks, and a 75-foot-long crane to handle any size shipment.

This company, in our opinion, is excellent for those planning a home or office renovation. This is because they offer color matching and paint mixing services in addition to power tool rentals.

Furthermore, many of the customers we’ve spoken with have commented on how excellent their customer service is. They’ve stated that this store goes above and beyond to assist customers in finding the right tools.

We were particularly impressed by their extensive inventory, which we believe is convenient because clients won’t have to wait for specific items to become available.

We believe this business is ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial companies because they cover almost all tools and equipment for these properties.

To begin, they have a wide range of light-duty to heavy-duty tools, including ladders and scaffolding, workbenches, plumbing tools, and power tool accessories.

In addition, if you’re working on a short-term project, Parkrose Hardware also offers equipment rentals. However, we want to note that they have relatively higher rental rates.

Despite that, we were impressed with their rental fleet as they feature some of the latest and well-maintained tools. 

They do not, however, provide free shipping discounts. However, they offer seasonal discounts and sale items for specific products.

Nonetheless, the majority of the customers we spoke with praised this hardware store for its friendly and helpful staff and reasonable prices.

This company sells decorative hardware, which we believe is ideal for home and office renovations that require a more personalized touch. Their hardware is designed in a modern style that we think will appeal to clients who prefer a minimalistic look.

Now, we noticed right away that this establishment offers numerous hardware under various categories such as bathroom, cabinet, door, exterior, specialty, and so on.

Some items they sell include mirrors, tissue holders, knobs, door stops, and even mail slots. In our opinion, this makes them ideal for full home renovation projects because they sell almost all the little things needed for a complete room makeover.

Unfortunately, they only ship within Canada. We were also slightly disappointed that they could only visit the showroom by appointment. 

We believe it would’ve been a great addition to include international shipping to garner more customers. Despite that, we liked that they offer free shipping on orders over CAD 500. 

Moreover, they don’t charge any additional costs for in-store and curbside pick-up options.
