Ever just felt jealous of people in the movies just eating those big slices of pizza in Brooklyn? Well, you don’t have to be any longer.
Straight Outta Brooklyn brings a slice of Brooklyn to Vancouver with their amazing Naples-style pizzas that are, well, straight out of Brooklyn.
With its crispy crust and delicious toppings, Straight Outta Brooklyn is honestly a cut above the rest. We found the taste amazingly reminiscent of classic NYC and Brooklyn pizzas, so we were very happy with it.
Don’t think that the menu is limited either just because they only specialize in Brooklyn pizza. Straight Outta Brooklyn allows pizza customization where customers can just mix and match any toppings they want.
So, if you love cheese like us, you can just go crazy and ask for double or triple the mozzarella.
What’s even better is that if you really are hungry for pizza, Straight Outta Brooklyn has huge slices. Truly a perfect pizza to fold and eat on a Friday night!
We really don’t have any issues with this restaurant, except maybe the fact that only their Fraserhood branch has an in-house delivery. For other ones, you’ll need to rely on DoorDash or Uber Eats.
Pros
- Customizable pizza
- Huge slices
Cons
- No in-house delivery for their other branches
Customer Reviews
Here’s what customers have to say about their amazing pizza:
“This pizza is SOOO yummy and perfectly priced! Cheap and delicious is exactly how I would rate this pizza! We had a margarita pizza and it was gone faster than any other pizza I have given my kids! Will be back very soon again!!” – LisaDoyle76
“You will not find a more authentic NY/NJ pizza then those made here. A small eat-in area and no liquor (beer) license are the only negatives, but are easily overlooked due to the fabulous pie!” – heather c

Pizza Garden offers Neapolitan pizza and we think they got it completely right.
The pizza here has that chewy and pillowy crust so characteristic of Neapolitan pizza. It’s also nice to know that the amazing pizza crust here is made by their own chefs.
But a pizza isn’t just complete with crust alone, right? That’s why we’re glad Pizza Garden even has amazing toppings.
The tomato sauce here is made of fresh tomatoes and as for the meat, they are also sourced from Italy and local farms here in BC.
It’s basically pizza truly made from scratch and from quality ingredients. And you know what? You honestly taste the fresh ingredients in their pizza.
If you’re also going plant-based, Pizza Garden even has great veggie pizza. No need to feel out-of-place anymore when your meat-loving friends want to order pizza because you can get your own!
However, since this is a chain restaurant, as good as the pizza here is, the quality of the pizza can also vary depending on which location you go to. You might encounter pizza with fewer toppings in some locations, we’ve heard.
Pros
- Fresh ingredients
- Available vegan and vegetarian options
Cons
- Quality might not be as consistent
Customer Reviews
Many of their customers love their delicious pizza and the toppings available here:
“Pizza Garden on Main should be the only Pizza Garden you order from! I don’t know what’s off with their other franchises, but they are completely lacklustre and honestly devoid of the perfect crust-to-toppings ratio that makes a perfect pie. Main St delivers cheaply (better than delivery apps who oddly have higher base costs, which I know will cost you your listing with them)…but ahem, even with that I still come back. I have only ever gotten many orders of 2 of the gigantic vegetarian pizzas, but they are *perfectly* cooked (crunchy outside, chewy inside crust), generous with toppings, and that perfect thin crust thing that NY pizzas have. I shared a Vegetariano pizza with a newb, and I taught him how to fold & eat this type of pizza
If you cannot get to NY any time soon but want an A+++ quality topping pizza cooked to perfection, go to Pizza Garden Main Street.
If you want the same thing but undercooked, go to their franchises (Commercial, Surrey, haven’t tried the others). They’re still aces above the rest if you reheat in the oven after delivery!” – Rachel P
“Excellent pizza a little bit more than burnaby price so buying a whole bunch of slices adds up but they have white mushroom garlic pizza which is the best so delish its my favorite to take home and reheat” – Odie O.
3. Ignite Pizzeria

If you want a hand-made and brick-oven pizza that tastes unique, order from Ignite Pizzeria! Although it’s a pretty recent restaurant, Ignite Pizzeria is already on the same level as older pizza places here.
What makes them unique, you might ask. Well, for us, that would be the dough they use.
Aside from already being homemade, this dough is left to rise for three days before they put all the sauce and toppings together.
That long resting period results in the dough being super-crispy outside and chewy inside.
Another thing that makes this pizzeria deserving to be on the list of Vancouver’s top pizza delivery is its speed.
You won’t have to wait long here just to get an amazing pizza. This really makes Ignite Pizzeria a perfect place to order from during movie nights or if you’re just getting a massive craving.
Now, as much as we love Ignite Pizzeria here, we have an issue with how small the slices are. We hope that we get bigger pizza slices next time, though, because the pizza here is so good… but a slice just isn’t enough.
Pros
- Amazing pizza dough
- Quick service
Cons
- Small pizza slices
Customer Reviews
Their customers have praised their speedy service and the pizza’s taste:
“We stopped here and picked up a few slices of pizza to take back to our hotel!

Service was quick, friendly/great!” – gerin2016
“A 4.5. Summed up with good slice good price. Wood fired $3.50 per slice. Delicious tasting, not skimppy on toppings and crust is very well done. It is made thin crust not thick. The service was quick and friendly here.” – CY Siu

There’s a reason even Deadpool loves Nat’s New York Pizzeria. With its thin crust, the taste of the sauce, cheese, and toppings, it’s absolutely lip-smacking delicious.
Apparently, the secret for their amazing pizza here is their authentic recipe: it even came from the owner’s great great great grandmother from Naples. Talk about leaving a legacy, right?
Nat’s New York Pizzeria doesn’t just serve pizza either. They also offer lasagna, pasta, and of course, garlic bread.
What if you’re scared of grease from New York-style pizzas? Don’t worry about that as the pizza here isn’t as greasy as most.
That said, you should note that Nat’s New York Pizza doesn’t have any options for online ordering through their website. You can just call them or buy from a third-party delivery service.
Another thing is they’re also only open until 8 PM. This means you really can’t order late at night whenever that craving hits.
Pros
- Authentic New York-style pizza
- Less greasy pizza
- Offers other food on their menu
Cons
- No online ordering system
- Closes early
Customer Reviews
Their customers have praised their amazing authentic pizza:
“Recently made an order for delivery. Very courteous on the phone when I called in. Food was hot and ready when delivered. Delivery kid was very nice. Got exactly what I ordered. Everything went well !” – Chris L
“Best pizza in town, in my humble opinion. They have ruined me, because now I don’t want any other pizza. My favorite is the Fifth Avenue. Always freshly baked. Great prices on combos with pop and/or salad. Their Spaghetti is also very good. And best of all, the staff is super nice and friendly. You can get your pizza by the slice and enjoy it right there as if you were in NY (with all the fun NY deco), or take a whole pizza home. It quickly turned into one of my favorite places.” – Javier L

We’re not surprised that Rocky Mountain Flatbread has won awards before.
It’s one of the best places to visit for pizza. The quality of the ingredients they use really makes the pizza here.
The restaurant uses organic and free-range ingredients for their topping. More than that, they are committed to supporting local businesses, which is why their ingredients are sourced locally.
As for their offerings, they have a wide variety of pizza available. Many of them are also vegan, vegetarian, and some are even nut-free.
What’s also great is that currently, they are offering a pizza-making kit for delivery. So, if you ever fancy yourself becoming a chef, then why not try this out?
Although the variety of pizza here is a treat, the price at Rocky Mountain Flatbread is much higher than other pizzerias in town.
But if you don’t mind the expenses, we definitely recommend ordering here.

Cons
- Less affordable pizza

Living in this fast phase world, it is nice to find a restaurant where you can just unplug and spend some quality time with the people you love. Good thing that Pizzeria Ludica (Ludica Pizzeria & Game Room) was built.
It humbly started last January of 2014. No social media, no advertisements and no marketing was done in order to promote this restaurant as they would like to test if word of mouth still works in this digital age.
Lo and behold, as customers one by one dine in and had experienced their pizzas with the board and card games they offer, they have proven that offline word of mouth still works.
Compared to other pizza places, Pizzeria Ludica offers gluten free cauliflower crust, gluten freerice/chickpea crust and whole wheat hand-stretched doughs. It is also plus for they have a special menu for our Vegans.
It also amazes us that may it be a sweet, sour or salty pizza that you are craving for, they have it.
