Biking in Stanley Park

Stanley Park is a public park in Vancouver bordered by Burrard Inlet and English Bay. It’s right in the heart of the city and one of the area’s most protected and preserved ecosystems.

The park opens at 9:00 a.m., and you can begin your day by grabbing breakfast, as most breakfast places in Stanley Park open around the same time.

Biking is inarguably one of the best things to do on a sunny day. An abundance of nature and wildlife surrounds the park, and it has over 9 kilometers of bike paths which takes about an hour to complete.

Riders on the bike-only route connecting Canada Place to the University of British Columbia and Pacific Spirit Park will also be treated to a breathtaking ocean view.

Aside from that, if you enjoy gardens, we recommend visiting Stanley Park between spring and fall to see the flowers bloom. During this time, the park features mighty trees and lovely flowers along Stanley Park’s famous Seawall.

In case you were wondering, you can also rent e-bikes in Stanley Park from Cycle City and Yes Cycles, which rent out e-bikes to children and adults. This service is approximately CAD 45 for three hours.

However, keep in mind that closed shoes are required when riding a bike. So if you don’t have any, you should go to the shoe store first.

Moreover, after a long day of exploring Stanley Park, if you need a bite to eat or a cup of coffee, the park is filled with restaurants, cafes, and food carts.
